BOX 57-8 - MUTUAL AID - 2 ALARM DWELLING FIRE

Peach Bottom Township, PA - At 1618hrs. Whiteford Volunteers were dispatched for 2 engines mutual aid to York Co. Sta. 57 first due for a dwelling fire in the 7500blk. of  Woodbine Rd. At 1619hrs E611 & E612 called en-route. All responding units observed a  visible large smoke plume from that area. Chief 57-1 requested a second alarm prior to arrival due to reports of a working fire. At 1625hrs. E611, Chief 57-1,E57-3, E57-4 arrived and found fire through the roof to a 1 1/2 story wood frame dwelling. Due to the fire advancement, crews began defensive operations and had the fire under control in about 45mins. Crews worked in the 105 degree heat for the next 4 hours to extinguish the remaining hot spots. Command special requested T631 to the scene to provide master stream operations. Units cleared at 2014hrs.

Also, at 1717hrs. Whiteford EMS assisted Sta. 57 with a cardiac arrest call in Delta boro during the fire incident.
